I'm "home"!!! I'm "home"!!!

Let's see what's new here - walls painted (smells horrible!!), a big notice board (bit too big!!), and new carpets (that's the best bit!) . I've found this on the notice board:

Moving in the rain (and on short notice!) was simply fantastic and exciting!!!
It only took me 3 trips to move everything...impressive, eh? Great exercise too!!!!

Meanwhile, I think I deserve these....

I'm too tired but I insist on recording what made my trip a 24-hr one!
Sept 3:
9pmHK time/2am - left home
9:15pm - forgot my watch, went back home to get it!
10pm - airport, backpack was considered too large, repacked!
10:30pm - 0010 (Sept 4) waiting at Gate
0010- boarding
0035 (=UK 1735 Sept 3) - took off
0615 - landed LHR
1015 (originally scheduled at 0845) - took off
1100 (not 0940!) - arrived MAN
1120 - baggage reclaimed
1130 - arrived at train station, missed 1125 direct train, expecting to take 1227
1215 - 1227 train CACELLED!...panic!
1246 - train to Preston
1405 - arrived Preston
1419 - train to Lancs
1437 - arrived Lancs! AT LONG LAST!
about 1500 - in my new room

It's June 1st again, i.e. I've been here for 2 years (academically, not necessarily physically....hee hee)

Here is my paperless "office" on May 31, 2004 - most books were still on their way, no files, no binders, no pen holder, no notice board, no calendar, no out-dated post-its:


And today.....no place for my coffee mug! :-p

Is it really spring?? Anyway, I'd prefer snow to the rain. At least, the white snow looks brighter. :-p
